| No more nadsicles. I replaced my thermostat with a new one. The old
one was 167F and the new one is 195F. What a difference. I then
blocked off about 1/3 of the radiator and the car is warm. Car is now
warm, temp guage almost gets to 'N' and when I turn the heater on it
blows hot air and does not cool off. The local auto parts store had the
correct stat but no gasket. I happened to have 3 in the garage so I was
set. That is one of the best bits of advice I had gotten with these
cars, "Always keep a couple of spare gaskets in the garage". A bit
cold to be working in the driveway but now the car is much more drivable.
