Correctomundo...
Really lightened flywheels (matter of
extent) and clampier (exent) clutches
not for the street (stop and go) unless you can easily/don't mind more
frequent clutch replacement (which I am sure is what you are thinking?).

However, a slightly lightened flywheel
and slightly grippier clutch (as in my
case and Frank C. runs a lightened
flywheel on his street machine as well
with Kent 276 cam timing)
does make for a peppier street machine
without undue clutch wear.

I've got a Rivergate Datsun disc (very
grippy) on a Rivergate slightly lightened
(by 4-5lbs.) flywheel running a Cooper S cammed (advaced for Metro inlet
timing)
1293. Very quick but engine does not to be revved "abnormally" to get it
initially
off the line.
