Question. The carbs on my '74 1275 have the connectors on them. I have run
a hose from the front cover oil separator to a y-piece. From there a hose
goes to the connector on each carb. I have installed an in-line PCV valve
prior to the y and I HATE the sound of the damn thing rattling. Since I am
drawing vacuum from the carbs rather than the intake manifold do I really
need to use the PCV valve? It seem to me that a backfire won't be anywhere
near as violent thru the carbs compared to the intake manifold. What sayeth
the list?

Thanks,
Tad R.
