these are the ones with the engine in the rear correct? lovely
little machines.... i remember watching one autocross a couple
of times. everyone was doing the course in about 60 seconds,
give or take a couple. then this little fiat went out and did
it in 53.+ wow! it took him a little time to get up to speed
but he NEVER SLOWED. only thing that could touch his time was a
60's vette that turned in 52.+... unbelievable! .. i also seem
to recall an article in ROAD and TRACK, or CAR & DRIVER, where
they cut one coil out of the springs installed a hexagonal one
in its place, dropped the ride height about an inch and were
able to pull ONE FULL GEE on a skid pad! ... darling little
cars. good luck finding parts!!! that part i don't envy you..
with the thing running, i WILL!
