Mike, tell Wini she better be
EXTREMELY glad that you have
200 miles between us!!!
The guy that painted the 68
has recently wanted to get
into Spridgets. I had another
friend that had given up on
his 73 project. It was a
running car when he got it
from me a few years ago, and
he had primed the carbs and
started it a year ago. I
connected the two, and now my
painter is the owner of a 73
RHD Midget with a Bugeye
bonnet in the bits, for the
princely sum of $200. We have
to free up the engine, and he
will have to put floors under
the seats (does anyone just
sell that bit, rather than the
entire floor?). We also need
to locate the instrument
panel, preferably one from a
65 to 67, so that the switches
will be something available
over here in the colonies.
Mike, I know a build your own
Pieces project might have been
to tough to resist! <G> This
car also comes with the first
generation rostyle wheels as
shown on the cover of the OS&M
as well as on pages 87 and
109. Oddly enough, the buyer
does not want the Frog nose,
so I have to generate some
storage space for this bit in
my parts shed now..........
btw, I need to rebuild some
pre smog HS2's. What does, and
what does NOT go into the
vatting acid? I was wondering
mostly about the pistons.
TIA,

Brad
