oh i completely understand that its my tax dollars that pay for
the roads. that's why i used the phrase "cost per use" !
out there, they take the money from the tolls and use it for ..
well what do they use if for? can't be road maintanance, that
comes from the taxes on gasoline? LOL ....
actually if you look into the moneys the FEDERAL government
takes in GAS TAXES that are "earmarked" for federal highway
building and maintanance, you will find the same kind of IOU's
that are in the SOCIAL SECURITY "trust fund"... they spend the
money on anything and everything else... i laugh at 'em when
they say they gotta raise the gas tax for road improvement,
when that's not what they spend the money for at all! any more
than the "tobacco settlement money" that most states got goes
to "smoking education and prevention"... they spend the $$$
wherever they please once they get 'em, no matter what the
promises made when they enact the laws to COLLECT the $$$$
