my l'il bro' lives in Jacksonville, FL.
and reports that even though Charlie
passed right over him, this hurricane
while locally very severe (small dense center) when it initially came
inland,
fortunately weakened very rapidly though
the init`ial areas that were hit as it came
inland were devastated, of course. Brutal stuff.
He reports nothing more than a good
soaking with moderate gusts...lucky.
