It's a 1969 Mini 998 RHD saloon.
I have pix I can send indidually to netter nutters.
I had a mini pickup project in my basement that I was never
gonna finish. I found a nice guy in Monterey Park (LA).
We trailered the pickup and bits from Placerville (East of
Sacramento) down Saturday night, got there 7ayem, made
the swap, and I got home at 7 pm Sunday. Then I slept for
13 hours. I had fallen in all the confusion and severely sprained
my wrist, so I was limited in how much I could help.
The new mini has S brakes and tricked-out suspension.
The body is good and paint okay. I have a lot of detail work
to do, but I also have a nice 1275 I can put in, with 3.2 rear
end and lotsa tuning stuff I had lying around. 40DCOE, LCB.
I need another 266 cam -anybody got one?
Boomer, my 71 MG Midget will always be number one, but
I can haul the string bass on the roof of the mini easier.
?Anyone with a British car needs a spare, right?
