Not sure about MPGs or total miles to a tank...  BUT just by coincidence I 
dreamt last night of a BE with a single rotar wankle engine, and a Subaru Justy 
CVT.  I know it sounds like a strange setup, but what fun it would be to drive, 
and the economy would be good as well.  
And yes, there was a single rotar Wankle years ago.
