Others more knowledgeable than I may have differing opinions, but my engine
has never even seen anything other than Castrol 20-50.
I ran it for about 5 minutes after I put it together, then changed the oil
and filter. Next I ran about 50 miles and again changed both the oil and
filter. My next changes were at 100 & 500 miles.
Over 10 years later, it still has no leaks.
