I know what bootleggers on this side of the pond had those same switches
for,
but you Brits are supposed to be a law abiding folk, respect for authority,
bobbies on bicycle two-by-two, and all that....

I have a switch with a red switchguard that switches ALL the back lights 
including the BRAKE lights OFF while the front lights remain on.
