The SCCA's Oregon Region includes a vintage run group at every Regional and
National event. On June 10-12 the 45th annual Rose Cup races will be held as
part of Portland's Rose Festival. This year the vintage grid is being
publicized as the Stan Huntley Memorial Group in honor of Stan's recent
passing. His wife and son are expected to be in attendance and hopefully
running the Bugeye Sprite. This race is just a few weeks before the Portland
Historics (www.portlandhistorics.com) so you can get some valuable track
time while participating in an event that is a major part of Portland's road
racing history.
The August regional, over the 13th & 14th, will features two vintage run
groups in recognition of the large vintage grids that have been routinely
participating. This will allow us to better split the classes and provide a
chance for folks who have been hesitant to run in a group with mixed classes
to experience Portland International Raceway and the fun group of folks who
run there on a regular basis.
