No No no.. these holes are in the top part where the rubber shift  
boot is, it's as though there were a metal ring that would lie on top  
of the rubber boot with screws extending through it, the rubber boot,  
then into the turret.  I mean this boot only has about 80 miles and 6  
months on it and it let go at about 4 shifts!  It's just like someone  
took a razor and cut the lower part of the rubber off where it would  
normally hold the boot down to the turret..
