And it says that the world was created in seven days. Actually, the life expectancy of a male child born in America in 1850 was just 38.3 years (farm accidents and disease were the greatest causes of death). Of course if a man lived to age 50, he could expect to live 71.6 years. How does that rank with today? Well, those newborn males can expect to live 75.4 years, while you 50 year olds can expect to live to 78.8 years of age. Buster Evans |
