Is there an undersealant, such as 3M Body Schutz, that is a "ringer", or at
least a close match, to the undersealant applied by BMC, and then painted
over, before the bodies were shipped to Abingdon for assembly? Also, the
tar-like, U shaped stuff that adheres so well to the inner fender to "frame"
flange, in the rear wheel well? This isn't for a concours restoration, but,
If I can duplicate what the factory did, it would be a crime not to do it
right, when I'm finished with the metal work, and have the undersides
cleaned up for coating.
If nothing else, does anyone know any tricks for applying 3M Body Schutz in
such a way as to replicate the original coating?
Thanks.
