A last chance trip to Disneyland with the 16year old daughter was a blast and
we finally found the smiling Chevron woody wagon model at a Disney store in
California Adventure. I'd been looking for that one for years.
The Austin A35 is serving daily duty while the rain falls and is serving well.
I just have to be sure to only buy small stuff at the hardware store, as the
boot is less than cavernous. Poor Bugsy is under a car cover in the garage
pouting and waiting for clear weather.
Last and best, my wife surprised me with a pair of tickets to see BB King in
Reno this last Tuesday night. Small venue of about 500 seats at the Silver
Legacy Casino, sold out. I'm still grinning from ear to ear. The thrill is
not yet gone. He can't stand for more that a moment, and did the entire
performance seated in a chair, but his voice and guitar are still at WOT. It
goes in the memory bank as one of my two favorite concerts, Janis Joplin at
the Hollywood Bowl being the other.
Happy New Year to all,
