My thanks to all of you. I appreciate any prayers any of you are willing to
send the right direction.
Monday morning he complained of chest pains. He got his wife, and started to
drive the 15 minutes to the hospital. Along the way, Wanda convinced him to
let her drive. When he arrived, he had a severe blockage of the left side of
the heart. They put in a stent and kept him under sedation. He had around 8%
heart function when he arrived at the hospital, so they installed a balloon
pump to help the heart work. They also put him on a ventilator to help him
breath. Well, today they were able to take the balloon pump out, and his
blood pressure is staying fairly stable. They brought him out of the
sedation for a few minutes tonight, and he can move all his fingers and
toes, and squeeze with both hands. There is no evidence of a stroke.
Tomorrow, they are hoping to take him off the ventilator, and wean him from
some of the meds he is on.
