be carefull with machine buffing carb parts!  i have found a rather
disturbing amount of porosity in the castings.  if you bead or any other
"media" blast them , the castings delaminate at areas and blister.  these
castings were never meant to be show quality nor be "beautifull" in the
aplications they were intended.    they "worked" and that pretty much
described the function!   the steel bits can be cadmium plated and if you
are carefull , the cast bits can look near like chrome if you are very
carefull!   you can achieve some darn nice looking carbs!  but be carefull
in how you approach the castings!
