my name is alan, and i'm in los angeles. one of your members, alan fisher
in rhode island, suggested that i email everyone for help . . .
in high school, college and law school, i was obsessed with bugeyes. i've
probably owned a dozen . . . i guess when i started making some money, i
became interested in owning other cars that i had admired and could learn
about
from scratch (i used to be pretty high on the sprite learning curve). so that
took me through jags, corvettes, shelbys, muscle cars, hot rods and porsches.
i just sold a really nice '70 911S, and i've now decided to officially
re-enter my second childhood: i want another bugeye.
do any of you have or know of a really nice bugeye for sale? i'm willing to
pay top dollar for the right car, which will appear stock and original (no
flares or hood scoops, please), but, at the very least, will have disc brakes
and a 1275. a 5 speed would be nice, too. after that, any other tasteful and
well-thought-out mods will be a bonus.
i'm not really into red, by the way . . . .
