My deep pink '61 Sprite was titled as a '63. It was built in May of '61,
but it says '63 on the title as that was the year it was sold new and
registered. My guess is that it sat on a dealer lot for a couple of years
until a buyer (probably a woman) who didn't mind driving a pink car could be
found.
None of us manly men would ever buy a new pink sports car. :-)
