What is important about torquing is mostly the need for even force
distribution. On things like heads, it it more important. I just
tighten most things according to size of fastener, application of
fastener, grade of fastener, and experience of about when a specific
fastener will fail under too much torque. You can find a torque table
for everything from lug nuts to battery terminal fittings. Once you
figure out that say 12-15 ft pounds on 5/16" fasteners is good and
snug but not too tight, you grow weary of the corny torque wrench and
start using a regular wrench and your feelings.

I would use "feelings" for #s 2 and 3.
2. Differential housing to banjo axle. Eight studs.
3. Brake backing plate to rear axle. Four bolts per side.

"Tabbed lock washer" on the other hand usually means slight preload or
clearance needed.
1. Rear hub nut. You know that big sucker with the tabbed lock
washer, LHT on the left .

If you really want to be picky you can use a torque wrench for
everything. But, unless you get it calibrated often it really doesn't
mean much, aside from getting things even. For heads, bearing
journals, etc., break out the torque wrench. For most other things
"use the Force"
