The green turn signal lens is actually made from a green plastic.  One of
the original magazine write-ups for the Bugeye mentioned the green turn
signal as being bright enough to almost blind you at night when you are
making a turn.  I find the statement to be quite true.  I imagine it was
intentional to give you a gentle reminder that the turn signal was still
on as they are not "self-cancelling", as they say.  www.triple-c.com has a
green turn signal plastic lens for about $3.50 or so.  It is dome shaped,
but an enterprising Bugeye owner could probably cut it to shape if he had
the chrome bezel already.
