John,

There is a rubber hose on the rear slightly to the right of the  
center of the car.  If it is swollen closed and there is air in the  
line between it and the MC then you will have spongy brakes (or no  
brakes at all).

The hose is attached to a T in the line on the rear axle and to the  
steel brake line coming from the front of the car.  The T feeds both  
rear brake cyls.
