Are there any people on this list who deal in steel?
Or do any of you know anybody who does?
On a 58 Sprite, the rear leaf springs did not have those square "U"
bolts. They were bolted from the bottom up to a piece of solid steel
with 1/2" bolts.
The steel is 7/8 x 7/8 x 3-1/8 I need to make 2 of these.
So anybody have a block of 1 inch thick steel hanging around? (6.25"
long) they would need to be milled a bit for the springs but I can do
that if I knew where to get a short piece of thick steel.
