If you put the mufflers back ON the Harley, it wouldn't make such a
racket. My brother has a 53 Pan that is so trick, it has a nickel
plated chain and a chrome rear sprocket. Bless his heart, he doesn't
put it into shows, he RIDES the thing!!
Well, he used to, you see, the 53 is to early to retrofit to electric
start. He went to kick start it one day, and his foot slipped off the
pedal. He stomped the driveway so hard, he shattered his heel. He put
the bike away, and didn't ride again, until he bought his 2001 Fat
Boy.
When he got it, the first thing he did, was change the pipes. He said
that it didn't "sound" like a Harley, with the factory pipes
So, put a dual box exhaust system on there, and you can have a bike
engine, mechanical failure, and oil leaks, just like a real Brit car.
And guess what, it will cost as much as a big Healey to keep running.
Every one thinks that H-D stands for Harley Davidson.
It doesn't.
It stands for Hunnerd Dollars.
you: I need an oil filter for my Evo, how much is it?
dealer: Hunderd Dollars
you: HOLY SHIT!! That's alot of money!!!
dealer: then ya shoulda bought a Jap bike, ya cheap bastard............
