Hi Linda,
Weslake is the surname of Harry Weslake who was an engineer who specialised
in either tuning engines or design and development of engines, in particular
cylinder heads. Somewhere down the line of the history of the A-series engine
he had a hand in its development.
At least until a decade ago Weslake were an active company and in the USA
David Vizard was their representative.
The interesting thing about the rocker cover is that it must be incredibly
rare if I've never seen another like it. In fact it's the only A-series
aftermarket rocker cover that I've only ever seen a single example of. Weslake
designed a similar looking ribbed aluminium alloy rocker cover which while
named
after him doesn't have his name on it.
