I have a few more quick questions:
I'm thinking of buying a Crane electronic ignition. Does anyone one have
any opinion about these, good or bad? Is the XR3000 worth the extra cost
over the XR700? Are either of them worth the extra expense over the
stock ignition system? I have a 69 Midget with a rebuilt 1275 and weber
downdraft carb.
Can anyone recommend a steering wheel that might give a little more
cockpit room for the more portly among us? I'm not quite as svelte as I
use to be back in high school. ;-)
I have a 5 year old son who'd like to ride in the Midget with me
occasionally. I got him a booster seat for the Midget as required by law
but this seems more dangerous than no booster. Does anyone have any
recommendations on, or experience with taking their kids in their
Spridgets for Sunday rides?
Lastly, I know that this is a long shot but I'm going to be looking for
a relatively rust free shell in the future for my 69 Midget. If anyone
hears of anything within reasonable driving distance from NC please let
me know. I'd like to get this rust situation straightened out at some point.
