I thought that Midgets were generators until early 1972 production. I know
that the 1970 I had did not come with an alternator and my 1972 did. At
least in the US Midgets...

Horler, page 95 says, "A change from positive to negative earth on righthand 
drive cars at HAN9-72041 and GAN4-60460 (November 1967)"....

Page 105 says, "A change from positive to negative earthing occured at HAN9- 
72034 and GAN4-60441 on North American models and HAN9 72041 and GAN4-60460 
elsewhere."

After recent posts, I certainly won't stake my life on what Horler says, but 
here it is.
