Two comments. Go bold, buy a car lift - one of those storage units, 
about 4500, but not only can get under the easily, with a small 
amount of plastic sheeting, you can catch the drips and have room for 
a second car!  second comment, buy 2 of those motorcycle jacks, one 
for each end, them use lumber as a safety.

PS: I use 8x8 ancient Canadian logs (you know - cut down tree, square 
off round edges with chain saw - then drink beer and admire)
