The speedo cable does not go thru the firewall proper, but thru the front of
the driver foot well. There should be a hole at the top of the vertical foot
well panel near the steering column.

How do you route the speedometer cable on a bug-eye? The speedometer sits
behind the bonnet hinge, so there isn't a hole in the firewall that gives a
direct shot to it. I don't see any obvious way to route the cable that
doesn't require a severe bend that I'm sure the cable isn't going to
tolerate.
