[Spridgets] Temp gauge malfuction

My oil pressure/temp gauge in the bug-eye was working fine before I had to
take it out.  When I reinstalled it, there was a strange hissing sound for a
while.  The noise went away, but now the temperature gauge doesn't work.  Any
suggestions?  Thanks.
