It was an interesting late afternoon here. I found a trick way to get to
the bleeder on the clutch slave and was able to bleed the clutch easily.
Jacked up the car on one side, took off the front wheel and reached in
through the little triangular hole, around the clutch line and slipped a
10mm onto the bleeder valve. Fairly easy, even with my big hands and arms.

A couple of days ago I had the thing running nicely with the new pertronix
ignitor but the the ignition timing running what appeard to be way
advanced. Today, when I started it up, it ran really rough. I adjusted the
dizzy again and this time it settled in at almost exactly 5 deg BTDC!!
Running beautifully.

Sooooo..... I took it out for a drive around the bypass - about 5 miles
and back into town from the north. Stopped and fueled it up. It started
right up again. Started for home and about a mile away, it died at a traffic
light and refused to start again. I rolled it into a parking spot and called
Carolyn to come get me with the tow bar. There was a trail of oil from the
traffic light to where it stopped. $hit!!

Guess I will pull the pertronix and put the points back in. Obviously there
is still too much crankcase pressure so I'll still have to work on that too.

Maybe I'd feel better about it if I go out and slam my fingers in the pickup
door.... At least it would take my mind off it...
