Okay... We are now within range to provide a little accuracy with a weather
forecast so here goes...

OUTLOOK: The overall circulation pattern across the US for the next couple
of weeks (perhaps longer) should place the main storm track in the
westerlies across the northern tier of states in the US. This means that
disturbances in the flow should remain north of the Missouri area while mean
westerly flow aloft across the Rockies will produce a warm air low pressure
system across the high plains regions with some very hot temperatures from
Eastern Wyoming south into West Texas panhandle. Further east to the
Missouri river valley and the Ozarks, upper level flow should be very weak.
This will support the current Global Forecast System idea of a very weak
westward extension of the semi-permanent Bermuda high pressure system across
the southeast US into Missouri. As a result, temperatures should be
reasonably seasonable with little chance for rain.

My Personal Osage Beach...
FORECAST:
Wednesday...Partly cloudy in the afternoon with a high in the in the mid to
upper 80s. South to southeast winds around 10 mph.
Wednesday Night...A 20 percent chance for mainly evening showers or a
thunderstorm then clear. A low in the upper 60s.
Thursday thru Sunday...Mostly clear. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the
60s. South to southeast winds around 10 mph.

I promised Larry Macy an outlook for MG2008 at Valley Forge. All the above
holds true except there should be an upper disturbance move east southeast
across the northeastern part of the country forcing a weak and diffuse
frontal zone across Pennsylvania on Friday. Therefore, I would expect at
least some chance for afternoon showers on Friday. Otherwise, daily highs
in the upper 80s with lows in the 60s and mostly sunny skies except Friday
when there will be a bit more cloud, especially in the afternoon.

Cheers!!
