I'm about ready to go nuts...I cannot get my new build static timed right. It's
a 1275, Kent 256 cam, adjustable timing gear, 123 Distributor.

When #1 is at TDC (both valves for #1 at rest, timing notch centered on marks,
loads of compression at plug hole), and I've rotated the distributor until the
green light comes on, the rotor appears to be just past the #1 contact in the
distributor cap.

I've tried to manually rotate the distributor to align rotor and contact to get
it to run, but it won't go.

I'm hugely frustrated. What should I try?
