A word about Sprite - Midget Club USA....

This is most definitely NOT something which already exists. While the
Spridgets listserv works as a communication device for those who choose to
join it, there are many more Spridgeteers out there who do not choose to
join and will be served by the "club" via website. The model for this is the
extremely successful IBMWR.org group. Take a look.

All members are presidents of their own respective chapters. The chapter
confines are the edges of your Spridget cockpit. If there is a "do nothing"
club as was mentioned, then you get to fix that as you are the club and the
president. In essence, you can have as much fun as you want to or you can be
non-commital, or even miserable. Your choice.

Now... That said... The 50th Anniversary at Lake of the Ozarks was most
definitely NOT a do nothing. Nor were the BusterCluster and the Holy Sprite
project. Most of the people involved with those worthy projects are also
Presidents. Again. Your choice. There no dues, no by laws (aside from those
required to gain non-profit charitable status to put on events), and no
meetings. The whole thing is run by volunteers and communication is via
"Spridgets".

Future plans include a special tool loan program, online technical articles
repository and classified listings. Additional nation wide or regional
gatherings are also a possibility with all the presidents attending. We're
already talking about the Midget 50th.

How do you join? If you want to, you are automatically a President of your
very own chapter. Done deal. (Some have argued for initiations involving
semi-naked, pagan rituals under the full moon but that would be up to each
President).

Of course some won't see the fun in all this and that's okay too. We're all
Spridgeteers.

Cheers!!
