Bill

Your setup is probably sucking the oil out of the canister if there is 
no PCV valve.
The flying saucer has a check valve in it to cut down the suction.
I run a flying saucer on all or most of my 1275s, I love those things, 
if I ran a hose from the can to the intake with nothing, I would fog out 
the neighborhood. I have!
