Here is a car-parts.com search that turns up several T-9's in yards around the
country. I have also seen a couple in our local Western Washington
Pull-A-Part yards from time to time.

Here is a link to a guy in England that has made an adapter to fit the T-9
behind the 1500 using the 1500's bellhousing. It'll give you a good idea of
the amount of cutting required to fit the T-9 into the Spridget tunnel.
Remember that the 1500 bellhousing won't fit the A series engine, so a
different bellhousing would be required.

The Mazda Miata 5 speed has a remote shifter that moves it back to far from
the stock Spridget location to be used . The tail shaft housing can be
interchanged with the one from the B2000 truck transmission which would move
the shifter up closer to the spridget location, or the remote shifter can be
cut down and moved forward with a little work. Not sure about the length and
width, but I think it's close. Here is a link to Bob's site where he has
transplanted the whole engine and transmission from a miata into a Sprite.

Yes. And good luck finding that transmission in the US. They are way
harder to find than a 210 transmission. The easiest way to get a T9 is
to have it shipped from the UK. If anyone has a source of T-9 in the US
speak up.

Would a Miata transmission fit.
