Use fiberglass bar seat from the 1960's
These can be had cheap, and are probably still being molded somewhere.

Subject: [Spridgets] Bugeye Seats

hey all,

My Bugeye is all but finished, (THANKS Frank!)
about all I need is seats.
chuck c had given me a set of Fiero seats that are very comfortable,
but I have a roll bar in mine with a cross brace that precludes
me using any high back buckets.
The brace won't allow the seat to recline,
in fact it puts that back angled forward.
Even puts Frank too close to the steering wheel and I'm a bit
taller than him.
So, since Bugeye seats are scarcer than hens teeth,
or outrageously expensive, does anyone know of any
lowback seats, either original type or aftermarket,
the also tilt forward to allow boot access?
I have seen some fixed back seats that I like including a set
from minispares that have the Speedwell logo on them(inexpensive too!)
But have yet to find any lowback buckets that aren't fixed back.
I understand also that later spridget seats won't tilt forward enough
to allow good access to the boot either, and have an incorrect
sideways tilt to them.
 TIA

Brian S.
