Question number one: Yep - Electric - I'm running a Mr. Gasket pump back by
the tank as they are better at pushing than at pulling gas.

Questions 2 & 3: If it fits, I would think you can use it. (I don't have any
experience with a 948 so can't help you there). The 1275 water outlet faces
straight forward - If that poses a problem, you can probably solve it with an
appropriate hose.

Good Luck.

Can somebody Help me.

Dumb Question # 1 . I am putting a 1970 mg 1275 engine in a 1960 BE. The 1275
has been recently totally rebuilt and bored to 1300 cc. I have the original
948 engine in the garage and it has an external mechanical Fuel pump. The
1275
has no pump or a place to mount one for that matter. Did the 1970 midget have
an electric fuel pump??

Dumb question # 2 I have 2 sets of Su Carbs, The one set is complete from
an
original 948. The other set is from a later 1275 and they are missing the
connecting rod between the throttle plates. Can I use the earlier connecting
rod on the newer carbs??

Dumb Question # 3. Is there anything special about the water outlet on the
1275? I am planning on using the Original downflow radiator. Is the 948 water
outlet interchangable with the 1275?

Thank you in advance for your input.
