The stability is mostly due to the bushings/bearings and advance
mechanism in the dizzy.
The 123 Dizzy was new, and therefore more stable out of the box than
used dizzys, unless they use crap for bearings and/or have bad QC.
That comparison was good to show how good the new 123 is, but it was
comparing apples to oranges for performance.
A new dizzy with points and a new dizzy with Pertronix installed would
make a better comparison.
