This can happen if rings are not gapped correctly.
Does this engine have end gap on the crank that has to be adjusted when
being rebuilt? ...bill in oregon

Fluids were, and are OK. No liquid in any cyls, nothing got hotter than
normal and it unseized before it got cool.
The car never went a mile from start to seized and only cooled down for
15 minutes or as long as it takes to pop out a starter, drink a beer,
replace the starter.
It runs for 30 minutes with no problems at idle, it started and still
starts fine.
I don't know how it fixed itself, or maybe it has something to do with
Holy Sprites, Priests, and me ;)
