Why just a puny little car power by compressed air? During the mining 
days in the U.P. of Michigan there was a locomotive that pulled ore 
that was run entirely on compressed air. And, get this, the 
compressed air was FREE (once the infrastructure was built) and the 
compressor had NO moving parts and over 80% efficiency. I'll bet you 
guys don't believe this, do you? So, here's a web site to explain it.

Realistically, if you have to compress air for the little car 
somewhere - on board or otherwise - it's not free and it's not clean 
unless you have can find a Taylor Compressor.
