I had my dual SU HS2 carbs rebuilt for my 1275. The car RUNS great, but
starting first thing in the morning is painful. Am I doing something wrong? I
have an electric fuel pump....do I need to wait a certain amount of time before
trying to start it in the morning? This only happens when it's cold. It takes
about 8-10 tries to get it started. Starting afterward is fine. This may
sound stupid, but is there a process for this?
1. Pull choke out
2. Turn key to start fuel pump
3. Wait about 30 seconds
4. Depress gas pedal a couple of times
5. Crank, crank, crank, crank, crank......sputter sputter, start.
