Lin- That's the best option, I've tried the other style (similar to a
countersink with a flat, paddle-style bit behind it and this is without a
doubt the easier of the two. Use a center punch on the spotweld and then put
the spring loaded pin into the center punched dimple. use a hand drill and
keep it going slowly (~5-750 rpm) and just wait for it to cut through. You'll
have to grind the remainder off later, but its much easier to do. IMHO
