EvapoRust was mentioned.  I've tried it. Sort of works.

But if you can get the rusty parts into a bucket the better way
is described here:

I need to remove some rust and I remember people talking about a chemical
you can buy at some hardware stores but I can't remember the names.  

Any one remember?
