House gun here is a 16" barrel side by side loaded with Fleshette rounds. I
saw what those babies do to a human in Nam and the wife is VERY good with
it...  Other than that there is a 9mm JHP hidden by the front door and an
M14 (M1A1) in the front closet. All are loaded. There is nothing more
worthless than an unloaded gun - excluding, perhaps, a panty-waist who has
never had to shoot anyone.

My hunting, target,skeet and trap guns are separate and stored safely away
as they are worth more than the protection stuff. I do not consider them as
weapons.
