[Spridgets] No LBC - Milage vs. Age

My daughter needs a new used car, and has posed the following question:

"wondering if you have any advice
about whether it is a better deal to get a newer year car, or one with
less milage.  For example, looking at the Yaris, we can get a 2007
with 15k miles for about the same price as a 2009  with 45k miles.
Is there a clear advantage to one over the other?"

Neither of these cars is "old", and I would expect her to drive it until it 
costs more to repair it than it is worth (like her current car), so resale 
is not an issue.   I have a similar question about used camper vans of much 
higher age and milage.

What thoughts?
