I use a safety solvent mixed with a little diesel. Main reason I don't use
straight diesel or kerosene is because my parts washer has a solvent heater
in it. The warm ,and I do mean warm , solvent seems to cut grease quite
well.

I love my parts washer! Years ago I used Safety Kleen solvent in it. It
was expensive and they want to re cycle but worst of all, it stinks, I stink
and my clothes stink and my shop stinks.

I went back to just using paint thinner, like I did in the old days but it
is now around $7 a gallon and uses 5 gallons and it seems to evaporate quite
fast.

I have heard of people using simple green but I have also heard that it does
not cut heavy grease very well.

My son told me he uses diesel fuel and it works great, does not evaporate
very fast and is not as flammable as thinner.

Any comments or what are you guys using?

Thanks
