We're talking less than 10 PSI. If the hose is a tight fit you can get by without a clamp. A nylon tie would probably work. Two inches of straight metal tubing and one worm clamp would suffice. A flare doesn't really do the same thing as a barbed connector. The angle is backward, so to speak.
