I just wish they would spend it wisely. It makes me angry when they
say a cell phone is a necessity and if you can't afford one you get
one free. A cell phone is a luxury. They could use that money to
help people who don't have jobs find work instead of pretending like a
cell phone is necessary to get a job.
The sense of entitlement is out of control in this country. Free cell
phones, steak and seafood on welfare, it is unbelievable.
A helping hand is humane but giving stuff to people who think they
deserve it is generating trouble.
Alcohol and tobacco are luxuries, too. Seeing people use welfare to
buy steak, shrimp, ice cream, and other luxurious items and then whip
out cash to pay for cigarettes and alcohol is just saddening. On top
of it they think they deserve it and the government owes them support.
Meanwhile they drive a much newer vehicle than I do and pay way less
taxes.
I don't hate the poor or those less fortunate than me but I do not
like supporting other peoples' warped values and poor judgment.
